Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center (WFUBMC), formerly known as North Carolina Baptist Hospital (NC Baptist Hospital), is a teaching hospital located in Winston-Salem, NC. The Hospital was established in 1923 as an 88 bed community hospital. After joining the Bowman Gray Medical School (now Wake Forest University School of Medicine) in 1997 the hospital grew to become an 821 bed referral center for northwestern North Carolina.
