Wermelandia, or Värmland, is a historical province or landskap in the west of middle Sweden. It borders to Westrogothia, Dalia, Dalecarlia, Westmannia and Nericia. It is also bounded by Norway in the east. | | Map highlighting the location of Wermelandia | Population
The population of Wermelandia is 312,966 as of 2004. The main exception is a smaller part to the south east which belongs to the Örebro County.
History Main article: History of Wermelandia Eastern Wermelandia traditionally belongs to the mining district of Bergslagen.
Geography Main article: Geography of Wermelandia Wermelandia was historically divided into chartered cities and districts. One district formed part of Bergslagen and was a mountain district, and all the other districts were hundreds.

Heraldry Main article: Heraldry of Wermelandia Arms granted in 1560, and revised in 1567 to the current one, with later minor revisions. The arms is represented with a dukal coronet. Blazon: "Argent, an Eagle displayed Azure beaked, langued and membered Gules."
