West Sulawesi or Sulawesi Barat (short form Sulbar) is the 33rd province of Indonesia, created in 2004. It is sited on the island of Sulawesi (or Celebes) and includes the regencies (kabupaten) of Polewali Mandar, Mamasa, Majene, Mamuju, and Mamuju Utara, which were formerly part of South Sulawesi.
