Modernisation - 2005 onwards WightCable LTD were sold in the last part of 2005, now going under the name WightCable 2005. Little has changed for the end user other than new graphics on the website and letterheads and increased broadband speeds. It is speculated that this change was brought about to dismiss customers concerns with the quality of service the old company had provided. WightCable have two broadband speeds for the consumer (non-business) 1Mb/256Kb and 2Mb/512Kb
