Ruth (Jackson) and Gordon Anderson, was born and raised in Halifax, N.S. He graduated from Queen Elizabeth High School during which he was Captain, Provincial Championship Basketball Team and Student Council (Athletic Representative).
Mr Jackson has an extensive history with the YMCA Canada, he was the first Director of Amherst, YMCA, and also held various positions with the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees.
Mr Jackson serves as President, Council of Canadian Child and Youth Care Associations; Founding President of the Nova Scotia Child and Youth Care Workers Association and is the only Honourary Life Member of the NS Child and Youth Care Workers Association.
