William Edward Perdue (born August 29, 1965 in Melbourne, Florida) is a former professional basketball player in the NBA. Following a stellar college career at Vanderbilt University, in which he was named Southeastern Conference player of the year and SEC male athlete of the year in 1988, he was selected by the Chicago Bulls, 11th overall in the 1988 NBA Draft. He averaged 4.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game over a thirteen year career. In 1995, Perdue was sent to the San Antonio Spurs in a trade for Dennis Rodman. Perdue won his fourth NBA championship with the Spurs in 1999. In August of 1999 Perdue signed as free agent with the Chicago Bulls, he started 15 of 67 games for the Bulls, averaging 2.5 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per game. After the 1999-2000 season, Perdue left Chicago and signed with the Portland Trail Blazers, where he averaged 1.3 points, 1.4 rebounds and 4.5 minutes in 13 games.
