At this stage, I decided it pertinent to research all the branches of alleged descendants of WilliamJonesVC and to investigate reports that there were 2 later children born to WilliamJonesVC and Elizabeth Frodsham, in a 'rose-coloured-spectacles' attempt to re-unite all the descendants of WilliamJonesVC.
Kathryn Carpenter was married to WilliamJones, the son of the Elizabeth Goddard and 593 PrivateWilliamJones marriage.
The legacy of that line, the line of WilliamJones junior, remains in the looks of myself, brother and father, and is the only clue that remains as to the eventual whereabouts of the son born of 593 PrivateWilliamJonesVC and the ill-fated Elizabeth Goddard.
William and Elizabeth were married on 25th July 1875 and the marriage certificate shows that 593 Pte William Jones's father, WilliamJones Snr, is now quoted as deceased; WilliamJones Snr, was thought to have died at some time prior to 1867.The marriage took place at The Wesleyan Methodist Church, Farnham, Aldershot, Surrey.
WilliamJones, who we shall now refer to as 593 junior, was born to 593 Pte WilliamJones and his wife Elizabeth on the 18th November 1876,at Western Heights, Hougham, Dover, County of Kent.
WilliamJones, 593 jnr's birthplace is misspelled as 'Dovver Barracks'.
