MacQuitty is most noted for his production of the 1958 Rank Organisation / Pinewood Studios film, A Night to Remember, which recreates the story of the sinking of RMS Titanic. The film is based on the book of the same name by Walter Lord. The two collaborated during the making of the film to ensure accurate screenplay. 1958 (MCMLVIII) was a common year starting on Wednesday of the Gregorian calendar. ...
