William Ogilby (1808 - 1873) was an Irish barrister and naturalist.


Ogilby was honorary secretary of the Zoological Society of London from 1839 to 1846.

Ogilby was assisted in the project by his step-grandson, William Morgan, and by a number of professional surveyors.
