In 1976 that club became the Wodonga Demon's Football and Sports Club and games were played at Martin Park, Wodonga. The Rural City of Wodonga Council developed sporting facilities at West Wodonga and the "Demon's" moved to Biralee Park. Wodonga is a small city on the Victorian side of the border with New South Wales, 300 kilometres north-east of Melbourne, Australia. ...


During the mid 1980's the Club made a series of applications to join the Ovens and Murray Football League. In 1988 the club was accepted into the League. They changed their name to the Wodonga Raiders Football Club so as to not cause confusion with the Benalla Demons and the long established Wodonga Football Club.
