Wolfgangsee is a lake in Austria that lies mostly within the state of Salzburg and is one of the best known lakes in the Salzkammergut resort region. There are many paths and trails around the Wolfgangsee which range from a leisurely stroll along the lake to an invigorating walk.
An especially varied circular walk, which begins at the eastern end of the Wolfgangsee and leads up the ravine of the brook called Schwarzenbach to the romantic Schwarzensee.
The Postalm is the second highest mountain plateau the second largest in Europe, with altitudes varying from 1,000 m (3,940 ft) to 2,000 m (7,880 ft) and extends over many kilometres.
