It is the only public high school in York Region where students wear uniforms, a policy which originated during its alternative school days. The school has a fitness center and offers many sports in its extra-curricular program, including badminton, football, cross country, soccer, basketball, tennis, golf, volleyball, baseball, softball, and rugby.
