Encyclopedia > Wootton, Isle of Wight

Wootton is a village on the Isle of Wight between Ryde and Newport.

The area of the village close to Wootton Creek is known as Wootton Bridge, and in the past, this was in fact a seperate settlement, although the extensive development of residential areas during the 20th Century has essentially made the two locations synonymous.
