Wordsworth McAndrew is one of Guyana's leading folklorists, poets, and creative artists.
He was born in 1936 to Winslow Alexander McAndrew and Ivy McAndrew. His father was a schoolteacher, a musician, and catechist, who taught in rural Anglican schools.
