WrestleMania VI and X8 are the only WrestleManias to have been held outside of the United States, both being held at SkyDome (now the Rogers Centre), in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The Honky Tonk Man became the second man to retain the Intercontinental title at WrestleMania despite losing the match, and the first to do so by disqualification (Greg Valentine was counted out at WrestleMania 1).
Due to the length of the event, this was the only WrestleMania to appear on two VHS video cassette tapes.
