It is run by three existing railway companies, Renaissance Trains Ltd, Hull Trains and Laing Rail. It will run high speed trains from Wrexham in Wales, stopping at Ruabon, Chirk and Gobowen, through Shrewsbury in England also stopping at Telford, Cosford and Wolverhampton, to the capital, London. It is forecasted to be a major competitor to Virgin Trains West Coast main line running. Laing Rail own and operate the popular Chiltern Railways, named "The best operator on the network". Since the Train is planned to be terminating at Wrexham, it may have to use the long unused bay platform at Wrexham General originally used for holiday trains to Barmouth. The company is most likely to use Class 170 Turbostars, with the depot most likely being in Wrexham or Shrewsbury. It hopes to start operations in 2007.
