Empress Xiao Yi Chun (Chinese: 孝仪纯皇后魏佳氏) 1727 - 1775 came from the Han Chinese Wei clan. Her clan name was later changed to Weigiya during Jiaqing's reign. Her father was Wei Qing Tai. She was born in the fifth year of Yongzheng's reign. Empress Xiao Shu Rui (Chinese: 孝淑睿皇后喜塔拉氏),? - 1797, came from the Manchu Hitara (Xitala) clan. ... She entered as lady in waiting to the Qianlong emperor in 1745. She was soon given the title of Worthy Lady Wei. Between 1746 and 1765 she was promoted from concubine Ling to an Imperial Consort. Imperial Consort Ling gave in total birth to 6 children, 4 sons and 2 daughter. Among them was the Jiaqing emperor. The Qianlong Emperor (September 25, 1711–February 7, 1799) was the fifth emperor of the Manchu Qing dynasty, and the fourth Qing emperor to rule over China. ... Imperial Consort Ling died in the fourteenth year of Qianlong's reign and was given the posthumous title of Imperial Consort Ling Yi and she was interred in the Yuling mausoleum a little while later. When in 1796 her son ascended the throne as the Jiaqing emperor he granted his mother the posthumous title of empress Xiao Yi Chun.
