Some analysts said only around 12 per cent of China-made float glass is up to international standards and Xinyi is a newcomer to the industry, which means greater challenges and risks for the company.
Xinyi, however, brushed aside concerns about its development prospects, citing its experience and expertise in the sector.
Xinyi will also use HK$65 million (US$8.3 million) to buy machinery and HK$18 million (US$2.3 million) to install three automobile glass production lines in Shenzhen, said company sources recently.

In the name "Xinyi liuhe quan," the "six harmonies" referred to are the three "external" harmonies (hand and foot, elbow and knee, shoulder and hip); and the three "internal" harmonies (xin [mind] and yi [will or intention], yi and qi [vital energy], qi and li [power]).
Xinyi is practiced to develop the will through rigorous training, and to enhance psychological awareness of one's opponents.
