Yenakiieve (Єнакієве, also Yenakiyeve, Russian: Енакиево, also Yenakiyevo) is a city in the Donbas region of south-eastern Ukraine, located on the Krynka river. It is 50km from Donets'k, centre city of the Donets'ka oblast'. It was founded in 1853, coal mines established in 1883, and the city incorporated in 1925. Yenakiieve is a centre of coal mining, metallurgy, chemical production, and manufacturing. Population 119,000 (1989).
