Ynetnews was established in 2005 in Tel Aviv with the goal of providing the Jewish community and its readers worldwide reporting and real-time breaking news from Israel and the Middle East. Criticism

It is criticized in the Orthodox Jewish world for being virulently anti-Orthodox and anti-settler. In particular, it is often perceived by these communities as regularly printing highly biased articles about especially the Haredi world. Ynetnews allegedly shows its ignorance, for example, by calling the Religious Zionists of America (which affiliates with modern Orthodox religious Zionist Judaism) a 'Haredi' organization -- as well as its discrimination, by singling out religious groups in criticisms of social injustice. Due to this antagonism, in the Haredi world, Yedioth Ahronoth is often referred to by a play on words: Idiot Ahronoth.[citation needed] It has been suggested that this article or section be merged with Israeli settlement. ...
