Encyclopedia > Yuggoth

Yuggoth, in the Cthulhu Mythos, is the name by which the extraterrestrial Mi-go know the planet Pluto, where they are believed to have established a colony.

According to Ramsey Campbell's story The Mine on Yuggoth, this colony is a city set at the edge of a pit which is the dwelling place of an ancient entity of horrific appearance predating the colony's establishment, which even the Mi-Go fear. They periodically abandon the city at those regular occasions when it rises from the pit and can be seen directly.
