Plot

Smith has released little information about the film, except that it is a comedy about two friends who have managed to trudge into their 30s with a satisfying lack of accomplishment. However, a high school reunion and dire rent problems spark the novel moneymaking idea of pulling together an amateur porn enterprise.[2][3]


Production

The film began shooting in Pittsburgh on 16th January 2008, with a projected release date in the fall of 2008.[4] In February 2008, Quick Stop Entertainment premiered a short musical promo called "I'm Fucking Seth Rogen", starring the two leads of the film, Elizabeth Banks and Seth Rogen, much of the other cast from the film, including Kevin Smith, and credited to director M. Casting

Although the lead role was written for her, Rosario Dawson will not take part in the movie, as she will be doing Eagle Eye.[6] The November 16 issue of USA Today confirmed that the roles of Zack and Miri will be played by Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks, respectively.[7] In January, Smith revealed that Tyler Labine [8], Katie Morgan, Craig Robinson, Traci Lords, Jeff Anderson, Jason Mewes and Ricky Mabe will have supporting roles in the film.
