Recent Events and Future Plans

Today the line is one of the most busiest in Moscow. The world-famous station Mayakovskaya recently had a second exit opened to the surface. In the south an extension to Brateevo would complete the line, along with a new depot in 2010 (although building works began many years ago, they were constantly postponed in the shortage of finances). In the north another extension with two stations is planned: Belomorskaya and Ulitsa Dibenko. Construction is yet to start.

Kakhovskaya Line - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (405 words)
The Kakhovskaya Line (Russian: Каховская линия) is a line of the Moscow Metro.
Although the line was formed in 1995, all of the stations date to 1969 when they opened as part of the Zamoskvoretskaya Line.
The line shares the Zamoskvoretskoe depot (№ 7) with the Zamoskvoretskaya line, and seven six-carriage trains were specially formed upon the lines' separation to serve the new line.
