Zdenek Macal (born January 8, 1936 in Brno) is a Czech conductor. After a promising career in Czechoslovakia, he left the country after the Soviet-led invasion of 1968 crushed the Prague Spring, finding work first at the Cologne Radio Symphony Orchestra and later at the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
