Zim Israeli Shipping Company is the Israeli national freight shipping line. Its US agency, which was affected by the September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attack was called the ZimAmerican Israel Navigation Company.

Zim is one of the world’s largest container shippingcompanies, operating an international network of shipping lines.
ZIM is owned by the Israel Corporation to the extent of 48.9% and by the Israel Government to the extent of 48.6% and the balance of the shares are held by other small investors.
Zim was incorporated in 1945 by the Jewish Agency, which held 44% of the shares, the Israel Labour Foundation (Histadrut) - 45%, and the Israel Maritime League - 11%.
He said the chairman of Zim Asia, Captain Yigal Dafne, was sent to the ship to question the crew, and that a group of company representatives had been sent to Japan to participate in the investigation there.
The spokesperson said the company was fully prepared to cooperate with all investigations of the incident, although the crew had reportedly refused to cooperate with Korean policemen in Busan.
However, according to the Japanese authorities, all of the 16 ships known to be in the vicinity of the collision last Wednesday have been examined, and only the Israeliship bore the marks of a collision.
