La Anatomía Veterinaria (parte de la Anatomía Animal) es una Anatomía comparada de los animales domésticos.Ella comprende evidentemente las aplicaciones profesionales, que necesitan una exposición precisa de las diferencias específicas y de importantes consideraciones de la topografía. La fuente bibliográfica más completa referente a la Anatomía Veterinaria se encuentra en los libros publicados por el Profesor Robert Barone, en el caso del perro en la obra Anatomy of the Dog de Evans. El Profesor Barone ha publicado (aparte de cientos de artículos científicos de elevado nivel) los siguientes libros:

On December 12, 1849, the professor of physics, chemistry and botany, Moritz Friedrich Röll, was charged with the duty of giving lectures in pathological zootomy, advanced pathology and therapy, internal medicine and epidemic diseases.
In 1879, Richard Korzil was made professor of pathological zootomy, general pathology and therapy, forensic veterinary medicine and, as of 1877, lecturer for meat inspection.
In 1881, Johann Csokor became head of the chair for pathological zootomy, basic pathology and therapy as well as forensic veterinary medicine.
