Background
From Blizzard: "This sun-blasted city is home to the Sandfury trolls, known for their particular ruthlessness and dark mysticism. Troll legends tell of a powerful sword called Sul'thraze the Lasher, a weapon capable of instilling fear and weakness in even the most formidable of foes. Long ago, the weapon was split in half. However, rumors have circulated that the two halves may be found somewhere within Zul'Farrak's walls. Reports have also suggested that a band of mercenaries fleeing Gadgetzan wandered into the city and became trapped. Their fate remains unknown. But perhaps most disturbing of all are the hushed whispers of an ancient creature sleeping within a sacred pool at the city's heart - a mighty demigod who will wreak untold destruction upon any adventurer foolish enough to awaken him." Zul'Farrak contains several unique encounters and generous rewards for players of the proper level range. Many quests involve Zul'Farrak and players will find themselves returning to this instance multiple times to complete long chain quests that span the entire game world. The two most noteworthy encounters in the instance are the Divin-O-Matic rod event, and the Ghaz'rilla event: - Divin-O-Matic Rod Pyramid Event - As part of a quest, you are charged with finding several people inside Zul'Farrak who are being held captive by the trolls and set to be executed. When the prisoners are released, hundreds upon hundreds of elite and non-elite troll NPCs assault the party in waves. The rescued prisoners will assist players in the battle and can arguably complete the fight without any player intervention.
- Ghaz'rilla Event - After a quest involving an enchanted hammer found in the Hinterlands, players are able to ring a large gong inside Zul'Farrak and summon an ancient hydra-like monster that the trolls worship named Ghaz'rilla (a parody of Godzilla). At the time, the boss creature is likely to be one of the largest beasts seen in-game by players.
The final bosses of Zul'Farrak are two troll brothers who rule over the city. These bosses have a very rare chance of dropping two one-handed swords named Jang'Thraze and Sang'Thraze. An extremely lucky player who manages to find both swords can then fuse them together into a powerful, epic two-handed sword called Sul'Thraze the Lasher. Very, very few of these weapons exist in the game due to the time and difficulty it takes to acquire them. Two Jungle Trolls, as seen in World of Warcraft. ...
