6th July 2005 		Am amazed at the percentage of poor people from India. I always thought most of the worlds poor were from Africa. Interesting stats. Keep it up.

26th July 2005 		Most African nations should have more poverty than India and China. China is a lower-middle income nation, and is not considered among the world's poorest. Their income is equivalent to those in poorer Latin American nations, such as Honduras.

4th May 2007 		I would double-check those statistics. They seem to have been done by a college student. For example, look at this World Bank report:

If you look at page 31 and compute the percentages, you can see that India has only 31.9% of the global population under $1 a day.
