Four people were killed by falling trees and other objects during pre-monsoon storms in Bangladesh’s Rajshahi district, about 160 kilometers (100 miles) from the capital city of Dhaka. Powerful winds uprooted trees and flattened over 1,000 houses in the country’s northwestern region. Another 13 people were killed in the neighboring district of Natore.
