Israel should have been mentioned even before 2002 (after Shay Agnon won the Nobel prize in 1965). This was clearly intentionally done.

Interesting statistics, unfortunately not updated after 2002. Doesn't Israel deserve inclusion with now 9 Nobel prize laureates, 5 of them since 2002 (counting Kahneman as Israeli). This probably represents a 1st ranking of the Nobel prize laureates per capita in this millenium.
