Woh! wait a minute i thought that Philippine population in 2015 is 96 840 000 but even its still 2010 Philippine population is nearly 100 000 000 inhabitants. Does this mean that population growth is 4 or 5x faster and the population apocalypes is nearly at hand and population will reach more than 14 trillion in no time?

China is listed as number one on the list, at 1,392,980 and India is number two at 1,260,370 expected by 20-15... can't you people read? And why argue about statistics, how do you know what the numbers should be? Are you folks experts ????

There is no way that these could be accurate. The world is clearly going to end in 2012, why else would they take the time to make a movie about it ? Like please people, stop thinking of the future, we only have three more years to live, so why not live them well ?

In response to

" How can the US population drop to only 325,723? Did someone forget like three zeros on the end? "

If you actually read you will see that it says
" DEFINITION: (Thousands) Medium-variant projections "

so no they did not forget the 3 zero's. =)

I think if everyone will take a look at the source he used for his information you will see that this was retrieved from the UN.... Has anyone heard of UN Agenda 21? These projected number's are correct!

well...first place for India thats ok but 1,9 billion is too much....and where is China...

I find it surprising that the total population isn't expected to surpass 6.2 billion people in 10 years. I mean, to my knowledge, that's how many people are on the earth now. I would expect the population to be at least 6.5 billion if not more. In addition to China, Canada is not on the list either. In fact, there are(according the UN) 191 countries in total so 28 countries missing from this list.

Sweden at 8,6 million?
There are nine million now and the population is on a rise.

Oh yeah, no one asked why China was not in the list so I better ask myself...
Give it a rest.

It does seem a little unrealistic to expect India’s population, which was estimated at about 1.05 billion in 2003, to grow by 850 million, or 80 percent, in 12 years. To reach 1.9 billion people by 2050 seems more likely, as it would require an average yearly growth of 18 million people, which is more in line with India’s current population growth rate.

At any rate, given that it already had a population of nearly 1.3 billion in July 2003, China will still be first or second in population in 2015 or 2050, even though its annual growth rate is less than half of India’s at 0.6 percent.

Definitely an error, China should be #1 for this ranking I think.
