Telecommute: Content Manager / Content Assistant
Rapid Intelligence, publisher of NationMaster and StateMaster, is seeking a Content Manager / Content Assistant who will be responsible for maintaining high quality content on these two sites. Depending on your skills and interests, the role will involve any of the following:
- Creating and editing statistics according to our guidelines using our admin system
- Working with programmers to ensure high quality importation of such data
- Writing copy on the site such as factoids, blog entries
- Writing articles with the aim of making international statistics clear and interesting
- Interacting with and growing our community
- Reviewing user comments.
Required:
- Excellent written English
- Excellent communication skills
- Extensive experience with computers and the web
- Solid academic record
- Reliable broadband internet connection.
Preferred skills. Not required but candidates with any of these will be at an advantage:
- Basic HTML
- Copywriting experience
- Experience with web-based content management systems
- Experience with the publication of statistics
- Experience working at international agencies, development oriented or otherwise.
