National Transitional Council \u2013 Colonel Ahmed Omar Bani , a spokesman for the rebel military at the time fighting against forces loyal to Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi , said that "We are very happy" to hear the news of bin Laden's death, and considered bin Laden as another enemy fighting against the rebels. Bani added that he wished Gaddafi would suffer the same fate as bin Laden, saying, "We want the Americans to do the same to Gaddafi."
