The days preceding February 14th in the town of Loveland, Colorado, the post office has to increase it's staff due to the extreme amount of mail that comes through their doors.
The day he was to die, Valentine sent a note of thanks to the young woman for her friendship and loyalty during his imprisonment.
He signed it, "Love, from your Valentine." Valentine was executed on February 14, 269 A.D. His relics rest in the Church of Praskeda in Rome.
