The American Community Schools are a system of private schools in Athens, Greece, it is located in Aghia Paraskevi. It has students from over 50 nationalities. the Director is Dr. Gialamas. Offering the International Baccalaureate. The system was established in 1945. The three schools are at elementary, middle and high school level. In 2004-5 the total enrollment was 621 students, with 63 full-time and 19 part-time faculty. Private schools, or independent schools, are schools not administered by local or national government, which retain the right to select their student body and are funded in whole or in part by charging their students tuition rather than with public (state) funds. ...
