Andrew Calhoun (born on November 30, 1957 in New Haven, Connecticut) is an American folksinger/songwriter. He was inspired to become a musician when his parents brought him to a John Prine concert in 1970. In 1992, he founded the independent record label Waterbug Records. His song Folksingers Are Boring addresses the reasons behind the limited popularity of folk music: "Nobody comes to the coffeehouse / Because folksingers are boring." He has also published two books of poems.
