Super Robot Wars - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (2547 words)
The game's main feature is the use of mecha units from several Anime and Manga titles, mixing them together in a battle simulation and adding a complex plot involving some of their respective storylines, characters, and backgrounds.
Banpresto also has released a Game Boy Advance version called Super Robot Wars: Original Generation, that reunites the original Banpresto characters and units that had appeared through the series.
An original unit (inspired by the machines of Magic Knights Rayearth), the MasouKishin Psybuster (alternately transliterated as Cybaster or Cybuster), that appeared on the second SRW game in 1991, would be the basis for an anime series called Cybuster, with a modified story line.
Encyclopedia: Gespenst (454 words)
In the series, the Gespenst is usually used as a cheap mass-produced unit (similiar to the RGM-79 GM in Gundam), although there have been several variants that can be considered quite powerful.
Similiar to the Cybuster, the Gespenst has appeared in many different Super Robot Wars timelines.
Original Timeline:Either the Gespenst-S or the Gespenst-R will be the mecha your main character starts off with at the start of the game.
