The Public Whip - Bill Etherington MP voting record
BillEtherington was first elected in 1992, but often harks back to the politics of an earlier era which shaped his convictions - he was a full time NUM official at the time of the miners' strike and remains a member of the left-wing Campaign Group.
He is one of the most persistent rebels against the Blair government and has a punchy and partisan speaking style.
Mr Etherington is interested in constitutional reform and has called for a fully elected second chamber.
