On July 14, 2000, her character died in a fiery explosion when her car crashed into a gasoline truck when the writers of the show felt Bobbie's character, Macy Alexander didn't contribute to the storyline anymore. She was brought back to the show during the B&B location shoot at Portofino, Italy in December 2002. It was revealed that her father, who was in the Witness Protection Program, had been hiding her as she recuperated from her wounds in Italy. After much persuading, Macy came back to America, only to be gravely injured when a chandelier fell on her after a performance at a new nightclub in Beverly Hills. She was taken off life support off-camera, as she continued on contract status until the writers could derive a storyline for her character to come out of her coma. The decision was made to kill Macy off a second time when Eakes had decided to take the role of Krystal Carey Chandler on All My Children. The role of Krystal is loosely based on Eakes's Southern upbringing. July 14 is the 195th day (196th in leap years) of the year in the Gregorian Calendar, with 170 days remaining. ...
