The Celtic Football Club is a Scottish football club based in Glasgow, which currently plays in the Scottish Premier League. Celtic are the champions of Scotland, having completed a hat-trick of titles on 22 May 2008, the final day of the 2007-08 season. Since its formation in 1888, Celtic has won the Scottish crown on 42 occasions and is the only Scottish team to have won Europe's premier football competition, the European Cup, in 1967 and also hold the record for the most number of Scottish Cups (34).
