The flag of Norfolk Island was adopted on October 21, 1980. It depicits the Norfolk Island Pine (Araucaria heterophylla).


It is somewhat similar to the flag of Canada, with its use of only two colours and the use of a prominent local symbol in the middle. It also has 1:2 size ratio. It does not have a Canadian pale.
