Frank De Winne is a Belgian astronaut of the European Space Agency. Frank was de eerste astronaut van een bezoekende vlucht die ook in het Amerikaanse deel van ISS mocht werken.
Ook werden er verschillende hart metingen gedaan, hiervoor moest Frank een soort harnas aan trekken, en tijdens de proef werd telkens zijn bloeddruk gemeten, dit alles werd gedaan om te kijken hoe het hart zich houd in gewichtloze toestand.
De Sojoez TM-34 was in totaal 199 dagen in de ruimte geweest.
