Frode Andresen is a Norwegian biathlete born in Hønefoss on 9 September 1973. He now races for Ringkollen Skiklubb. As of January 2006, he has 14 World cup victories. On the 22nd of January 2006, Frode Andresen also won the Golden Cup, which is a trophy awarded to the biathlete with the most points during the three world cup events after Christmas. Norway's Ole Einar Bjoerndalen is lifted up by his teammates, from bottom left, Frode Andresen, Egil Gjelland and Halvard Hanevold, after they won the gold medal in the men's 4X7.5Km biathlon relay at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics.
Andresen, skiing the second leg of the relay, made up a 17.7-second deficit to Russia, took the lead and turned it into a 20.9-second advantage when he touched teammate Egil Gjelland.
Andresen missed three targets at the range but easily made up the time on the skiing course.
