Kai Manne Börje Siegbahn (born April 20, 1918) is a Swedishphysicist. He earned his doctorate at the University of Stockholm in 1944. He shared the 1981Nobel Prize in Physics with Nicolaas Bloembergen and Arthur Schawlow for their work in spectroscopy. Siegbahn developed techniques for chemical analysis using high-resolution electron spectroscopy. Kai Siegbahn is currently active as a scientist at the Ångstrom Laboratory at Uppsala University.
