After touring on the independent ciruit for a few years, Kai returned to the WWF, repackaged as the one half of the platinum haired tag-team The Glamour Girls (with Judy Martin). The duo appeared at the first Survivor Series in 1987. Kai & Martin (managed by Jimmy Hart) would feud for much of 1988 with Japanese imports the Jumping Bomb Angels for the reactivated WWF Women's Tag Team Championship. The two teams staged an epic 2 out of 3 falls match at the first Royal Rumble event in 1988, with the Bomb Angels capturing the gold. The Glamour Girls then surfaced in the newly formed Ladies Professional Wrestling Association (LPWA), managed by Adnan El Kassey and then by the "Queen of Wrestling" Christopher Love. After months of feuding with Tag Team Champions Misty Blue Simmes & Heidi Lee Morgan (Team America), The Girls finally captured the LPWA Tag Team Titles. They feuded with teams like the Bad, Black & Beautiful; The New Team America (Misty Blue Simmes & Alison Royal) & Bambi and Malia Hosaka (who the duo would face at the first and only LPWA pay per view - Superladies Showdown) before the LPWA folded in 1993. WCW

Kai wrestled in WCW in the mid-1990's as part of their short-lived women's division. She wrestled as both "Leilani Kai" and "Patty Stonegrinder" and usually jobbed to Madusa.


She returned to WCW on November 29, 1999 to wrestle a mud-pit match against Rhonda Singh on WCW Monday Nitro. In a backstage skit, Fyre and Storm have a wardrobe squabble and a food fight breaks out, and security breaks it up. The view focuses on another woman (Kai), who was watching this and apparently started choking after laughing at what was going on while eating at the same time. Juventud Guerrera happens by and works a Heimlich maneuver, and then asks for an ambulance really loudly. Later, Guerrera says one of the women is unable to compete (she was choking) but he saved her life. Kai is then replaced by Miss Elizabeth.
