Here are list of postal codes in Greece. It is administered by ELTA (Ελληνικά Ταχυδρομεία, Hellenic Post). This postal system which are aligned by street like 105 33 are used in cities like Athens or Patras that are regional capitals. Outside the regional capitals, it is used by municipality of smaller populated areas. It is not aligned with streets outside the regional capitals or cities mainly over 100,000 including Volos. Most cities uses in the mid of the x-xx postal areas like 260 except for cities like Heraklio which uses in the beginning and Volos which uses at the end. The larger cities or over a certain population and every prefectural capitals are in the ranges of xx1 xx to xx9 xx. In less populated areas, the system are used with xx0 xx. It is only used beginning with xx0 and going on with the xx per municipality of the prefecture. Postal codes from x00 to x50 uses low numbers. Most postal codes in the range of x30 xx uses numbers between 50 and 60. Postal codes from x60 to x80 uses middle numbers like 60 or 70 except for some like 370 06 in Argalasti while postal codes between x80 and x90 uses high numbers like 80 and 99. This system is used for codes between 200 and 899. Postal codes between 100 and 180 are used for streets of Athens and 180 to 199 are used for other parts of the prefecture of Attica. The exceptions are the regional capital of Corfu and Rhodes.
