Lublin Voivodship (Polish: województwo lubelskie) is an administrative region, or voivodship, of eastern Poland. It was created January 1, 1999, out of the former Lublin (2), Chełm, Zamość, Biała Podlaska and partly Tarnobrzeg and Siedlce voivodships, pursuant to the Local Government Reorganization Act of 1998. The voivodship's name recalls the region's traditional name and its largest city, Lublin. Lublin Voivodship is the poorest (NUTS-2) region of the European Union.
