 | Partly of their own accord and partly on account of the circumstances, the painters Ivan Grohar, Rihard Jakopič and Matej Sternen withdrew to Škofja Loka, while the painter Matija Jama retreated first to the Sotla river region and later to Kordun and Lika in Croatia, where they all pondered the possibilities of establishing themselves abroad. |
