When a mineral is chelated by being dissolved in fulvic acid, the fulvic acid combines with the mineral to form organic mineral complexes that can be used in plant and animal metabolism.
Fulvic acid is found in plants also, which take it into themselves and use it in their metabolism, and then pass it on to us when we eat plants rich in fulvic.
