Robert Lang (born December 19 , 1970 , in Teplice , Czechoslovakia ) is a professional Ice Hockey Center in the NHL , playing for the Detroit Red Wings .
Currently playing for the Detroit Red Wings , Lang has played the 2001 -2002 season and part of the 2002 -2003 season for the Washington Capitals , and has previosly played for the Pittsburgh Penguins , the Boston Bruins , and the Los Angeles Kings . He was drafted by Los Angeles in 1990 . His best season to date was the 2000 -2001 season when he had 80 points. However, in the current (2003 -2004 ) season, he had led the NHL in scoring at the time of his trade from Washington to Detroit , but shortly thereafter was sidelined with a broken rib, and has since yielded the lead in scoring to Martin St. Louis of the Tampa Bay Lightning .

Robert Lange is a young contemporary painter whose work resides in the small genre of photo-realism. Robert studied under rigid traditional teachings at Pinkerton Academy, in Derry New Hampshire, yet found himself learning new perspectives at the world renown art college, Rhode Island School of Design. Robert was awarded a 4 year full merit-based scholarship based upon his outstanding portfolio.

He has produced very successful albums for bands such as Def Leppard , AC/DC , Bryan Adams and most recently his wife Shania Twain . Lange is known for his publicity-shyness, having bought the rights to many of the photos taken of him over the years.
